Webinar Program Descriptions

ASM Webinar is an archive of past ASM Teleconferences. These presentations are available for purchasing at estore.asm.org. Webinars that are no longer eligible for CE credit are available to you at no charge from the above drop-down menu.


Webinars allow individuals to listen to the previously recorded Teleconferences at any time. The listener may view the presentation, listen to the audio feed and read the transcript of the session. Handouts or other supplemental information are not provided. You may purchase webinars at ASM's eStore. Customers may view the presentation at their convenience. Webinars will be available online approximately three weeks after the original live Teleconference and will be available for purchase for one year. Once registered for a particular webinar, the participant will have unlimited access for a three week period. The registration process will provide you with an individual login and password as well as the appropriate URL for the Program. There is a fee ($30) for each program and you must use a credit card to pay for access.

Subscription Access: You will have access to this program for 21 days from the date of purchase.

CME/CE
The American Society for Microbiology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Society for Microbiology takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity.


The ASM designates this educational activity for a maximum of one (1) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ASM designates one AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for each teleconference/webinar. Diplomates of the American Board of Medical Microbiology, Diplomates of the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunolgy, and Registrants of the National Registry of Microbiologists may earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™ towards recertification. In addition, California and Florida Continuing Education credits are available.

California Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS)
ASM is accredited by the California Department of Health Services to offering continuing education for California Clinical Laboratory Scientists.

Florida Clinical Laboratory Personnel
ASM is accredited by the Florida Department of Health to offer continuing education for Florida Clinical Laboratory Personnel.

Please note that the fee charged for the Live Broadcasts (Teleconferences) allows all listeners to earn a Statement of Credit with the completion of the session survey.  However, only the purchaser may earn a Statement of credit for listening to the on-line version (Webinar) of each program.
