Summary of Session: This teleconference will discuss techniques and advantages of rapid viral culture and the role of the Virology lab in diagnosis. Present comparative data for rapid viral culture compared to conventional culture and future applications for tissue culture in the Virology lab.

Objectives: Upon completion of this Teleconference, participants should be able to:

• Identify and understand testing platforms for rapid culture viral diagnosis.
