Summary of Session: This presentation will review the clinical importance of high risk HPV infection, the current recommendations for HPV testing and the different options that are available and in development for HPV molecular testing.
Objectives: Upon completion of this Teleconference, participants should be able to:
- Explain the importance of high risk HPV detection in managing women with abnormal cytology results.
- Describe the utility of HPV genotyping.
- Compare and contrast the different molecular testing assays.
